Job Description – Market Development Manager
Position: Market Development Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Experience Required: 5–10 years in Market Development / Trade Marketing / Channel Development (preferably in Paints, Construction Materials, or FMCG)
Qualification: MBA / PGDM in Marketing or related field
Key Responsibilities Ensure effective implementation of all Market Development Plans and Modules, while providing insights on their impact and effectiveness.
Monitor and track competition activities within the assigned cluster to identify opportunities and threats.
Engage and drive initiatives with large contractors to strengthen business relationships and generate demand.
Implement and oversee training programs for skill development of end users such as painters, civil contractors, painting contractors, and waterproofing professionals.
Drive loyalty program implementation and feedback mechanisms to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.
Support the launch and promotion of new products (NP), products under launch (PUL), and young products (YP) by ensuring effective execution of related modules.
Take ownership of market research and insight projects as per the Market Insight Calendar shared by the Head Office, ensuring timely completion.
Conduct performance reviews of BDEs/BDOs, monitor KPIs, and track progress against defined objectives.
Provide inputs to build and maintain a robust database of users and influencers in line with organizational norms.
Ensure effective CRM implementation in the region in coordination with central teams.
Drive execution of marketing plans for pilot projects as per HO guidelines.

Ability to design and deliver training programs for technical skill development.
Proficiency in CRM tools, data analysis, and reporting.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead teams, monitor performance, and drive results.
