Regional Sales Manager – Children’s Books Segment
Location: Agra

Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving AGP’s children’s book sales through a strong network of city-based distributors with a proven school reach. This role demands a mix of market intelligence, relationship-building, and operational discipline to ensure sustainable growth across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Distributor Identification & Onboarding
Conduct in-person market surveys in key cities to identify potential distributors with strong school networks.
Evaluate distributors’ credibility through financial background checks, credit history verification, and local reputation assessment.
Finalize and onboard distributors in line with AGP’s policies and long-term business vision.
2. Relationship & Order Management
Build strong professional relationships with enrolled distributors to maximize school orders and market penetration.
Regularly engage with partners to ensure timely communication on new releases, schemes, and sales targets.
Motivate and push distributors to achieve order volume targets while maintaining profitability.
3. Policy & Compliance Enforcement
Ensure company policies regarding credit terms, discount structures, and operational guidelines are strictly followed.
Monitor adherence to AGP’s standards and resolve conflicts or deviations at the ground level.
4. Market Tours & Ground Intelligence
Conduct monthly tours across the assigned region to:
Assess market dynamics and school-level demand shifts.
Identify ground-level issues faced by distributors.
Track competitor movements and new opportunities.
Submit structured market intelligence reports to the central sales leadership team.
5. Collections & Financial Discipline
Oversee timely collection of outstanding payments from distributors.
Minimize credit risks through proactive monitoring and follow-ups.
Maintain healthy working capital cycles within the region.
Qualifications & Skills
5–8 years of sales/distribution experience in publishing, FMCG, or educational products.
Proven track record of handling distributors and driving institutional sales (preferably in school ecosystem).
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
High mobility – willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Graduate degree (Business/Commerce preferred); MBA desirable but not mandatory.
