Job Description – Utility & Maintenance Manager Role Overview:-We are looking for an experienced Utility & Maintenance Manager to oversee utility operations, ensure compliance with standards, and drive efficiency in plant maintenance. The role involves managing utility equipment, preventive and breakdown maintenance, resource optimization, and compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate should bring expertise in utility systems, energy-efficient solutions, water treatment plants, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:- Policy & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to company policies, practices, and industry standards. Maintain compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory agencies. Implement and maintain ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, TS16949, ISO 27001 standards and documentation. Utility Equipment Management Handle breakdown and preventive maintenance of: DG Sets, Compressors, Air Dryers, Hot Water Generators, HVAC systems, AHUs, HT & LT Panels. Analyze breakdowns, prepare reports, and drive preventive measures. Plan and execute daily maintenance activities and update spares consumption records. Ensure availability and maintenance of energy-efficient equipment. Water Treatment & Environmental Systems Operate and maintain ETP, STP, RO plants as per legal and compliance requirements. Manage new machine installation and commissioning activities. Cost & Resource Management Prepare cost estimations for spare parts and critical spares planning using FMEA. Monitor and control resource conservation activities and manage revenue budgets. Projects & Continuous Improvement Lead project planning and execution for utility upgrades or new installations. Drive Kaizen, 5S, QC Story, and Cross-Functional Team (CFT) initiatives. Support calibration activities and ensure effective SOPs/work instructions are in place. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of utility systems, maintenance planning, and project execution. Hands-on experience with HT/LT panels, DG sets, HVAC systems, and compressors. Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and equipment optimization. Experience in managing ETP, STP, RO plants. Proficiency in FMEA, preventive & predictive maintenance practices. Familiarity with ISO standards and safety compliance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or related field). 10–15 years of experience in utility and plant maintenance in a manufacturing setup. Proven expertise in utility systems, compliance, and project management. Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, QC tools) preferred.
