Job Description – Training & Development Officer Division: Mahindra Farm Division Qualification: MILS / MSW Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and dynamic professional to lead Training & Development initiatives within the Farm Division. The role focuses on enhancing workforce capabilities, ensuring right deployment through competency mapping, driving skill development, and implementing welfare as well as cost-saving initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Training & Development: Identify training needs through feedback, performance indicators, and skill index. Design, develop, and conduct technical & behavioral training programs for cell members and workmen. Prepare and maintain monthly/annual training calendars. Develop training modules, pre & post-training assessments, and training handouts. Competency Management: Conduct competency mapping for skill enhancement and effective workforce deployment. Ensure upskilling of employees through structured programs. Absenteeism & Discipline: Monitor absenteeism trends and address chronic cases. Implement disciplinary measures and provide family counseling when required. Cost-Saving & Innovation Projects: Coordinate Akraman and CIT (Cost Innovation Team) initiatives and track progress. Monitor and report monthly status of cost-saving projects. Employee Engagement & Competitions: Organize and oversee Rise Competitions and Mahindra Skill Excellence contests. Implement welfare schemes for employee well-being. Digitization & Innovation: Drive digitization projects and innovative practices on the shop floor. Qualifications & Skills Required: Postgraduate in MILS / MSW. Strong experience in Training & Development, Competency Mapping, and Workforce Management. Exposure to industrial relations and employee welfare practices. Ability to design and deliver training content. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Analytical and process improvement mindset. Experience Required: 3–6 years in Training & Development / HR in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
