Job Description : A Tamil Nadu (TN) Sales Head for an FMCG company is a leadership role responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales force, expanding distribution networks, achieving revenue targets, and analyzing market trends within the state. Key responsibilities include managing distributors, developing channel partners, leading and mentoring the sales team, ensuring product availability at the retail level, and collaborating with marketing and other departments to achieve growth objectives.  Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Planning: Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans for the Tamil Nadu market to achieve company sales targets and growth objectives.  Team Management: Lead, recruit, train, and motivate the sales force, including Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and field sales representatives, to ensure high performance.  Distribution & Channel Development: Design and manage effective distribution and coverage plans, building and strengthening relationships with distributors, stockists, and modern trade partners.  Market Penetration: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and ensure strong product presence and visibility at the retail level.  Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance, conduct regular reporting, and use analytics to monitor market trends, competitor activities, and sales data.  Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional and retail clients, and manage customer queries or escalations.  Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, finance, operations, and logistics, to support product launches and ensure smooth order fulfillment.  Reporting: Provide periodic reports to management on sales performance, market insights, and strategic plans.  Required Skills & Qualifications FMCG Experience: Proven experience in sales leadership within the FMCG industry.  Leadership: Ability to motivate and lead a high-performing sales team.  Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and decision-making skills for developing sales strategies and identifying new opportunities.  Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially when dealing with clients and partners.  Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of sales and distribution channels, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in Tamil Nadu.  Education: Typically requires a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
