Job Description – OIL Channel Development Manager
About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead OIL Channel Development by building and strengthening market relationships at both Primary and Secondary levels. The role involves driving sales, expanding distribution, managing channel partners, and ensuring market competitiveness through effective feedback, promotions, and execution strategies.
Key Responsibilities Develop strong market relationships at primary and secondary levels to drive OIL channel growth.
Provide regular market feedback on product, quality, promotion, and pricing to align with market requirements.
Build and maintain rapport with distributors/stockists to strengthen and expand the channel.
Address distributor concerns by providing timely and relevant MIS reports.
Collaborate with Zonal Spares Manager, Area Office, and Product Leads to achieve territory and zonal targets.
Ensure annual OIL sales targets are achieved in line with business plans.
Expand the primary & secondary network in Bazar Trade across assigned territories.
Conduct detailed market analysis to develop sales plans for distributors/stockists.
Drive primary sales, collections, and secondary sales growth through effective channel development.
Identify white-space opportunities, expand retailer and mechanic networks, and monitor end-user engagement.
Develop and execute local promotions and branding strategies to strengthen market presence.
Enhance distributor capability through training, incentive programs, and continuous engagement.
Monitor and report distributor performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
Gather and update market and pricing feedback periodically to support business decision-making.
Desired Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of OIL/automotive aftermarket distribution and channel management.
Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable strategies.
Strong communication, MIS reporting, and presentation skills.
Goal-oriented, with proven ability to deliver sales and distribution targets.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/MBA preferred, with specialization in Marketing/Sales.
5–10 years of experience in channel development, distribution management, or aftermarket sales (OIL/FMCG/Automobile industry preferred).
Proven track record of handling distributors, secondary sales, and channel expansion.
