Job Description – Maintenance Engineer (Welding & Casting Equipment)

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in maintaining welding, casting, and robotic equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in spot welding systems (manual & robotic), electropneumatic welding fixtures, and robotic welding systems, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of welding and casting equipment.
Hands-on experience in maintenance of spot welding guns (manual and robotic).
Maintain and troubleshoot electropneumatic welding fixtures.
Carry out maintenance and programming support of robotic welding systems.
Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and provide long-term solutions.
Collaborate with production and automation teams to ensure seamless equipment performance.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for spare parts, upgrades, and technical support.
Qualifications & Skills Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering.
3–7 years of experience in welding and casting equipment maintenance.
Strong knowledge of robotic welding systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA or similar preferred).
Familiarity with electropneumatic systems, hydraulics, and automation controls.
Hands-on troubleshooting skills with ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of TPM/Lean manufacturing practices will be an added advantage.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.
