Job Description: Network & Infrastructure Engineer (Band-2) Location: Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal (Port) Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network & Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain the organization’s mission-critical IT infrastructure at Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal. The role involves ensuring 24/7 availability, high performance, security, and scalability of enterprise network and data center infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Network Management & Operations Ensure 24/7 availability of production network systems including Cisco switches, routers, checkpoints, firewalls, wireless controllers, and IP telephony. Operate and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks in compliance with DP World IT standards. Manage Internet access, MPLS, multiple ILL connections, and WAN optimization. Maintain and manage fiber and copper cabling infrastructure across campus. Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN performance, ensuring redundancy and high availability. Security & Compliance Manage and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls, proxy servers, spam detectors, and NAC (Cisco ISE). Perform security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and implement best practices. Ensure logs are collected and monitored; apply firmware updates, patches, and upgrades. Disaster Recovery planning and execution for network devices and appliances. Ensure closure of internal and external audit points. Infrastructure Maintenance Oversee operations of Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) sites. Perform regular monitoring and maintenance of servers, storage, and related systems. Maintain CCTV, access control, and time attendance systems. Manage IT assets (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and ensure proper configuration backups. Capacity Planning & Continuous Improvement Plan and implement capacity upgrades considering future business needs. Introduce new technologies and upgrade legacy systems to enhance performance. Conduct health checks and ensure fault-tolerant, redundant systems. Propose improvements in infrastructure to align with organizational goals. Stakeholder Collaboration Liaise with IT management, operational staff, finance teams, and vendor partners for smooth functioning of IT services. Ensure proper documentation of SOPs, project documents, and change requests. Required Skills & Expertise Hands-on experience with Cisco switching & routing (Core/Distribution/Access/Server Farm). Strong knowledge of three-tier network architecture, WAN management, and wireless networks. Expertise in Checkpoint Firewall Management, Cisco ISE NAC, Cisco IP Telephony/IPBX. Deep understanding of fiber network topologies and structured cabling. Experience in configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of data center operations, disaster recovery drills, and capacity planning. Familiarity with IT audit, compliance, and security frameworks. Key Accountabilities Ensure high network availability and resilience. Maintain up-to-date hardware and software across infrastructure. Support data center and IT systems operations. Document incidents, configurations, and maintain accurate inventory. Drive continuous improvement in IT infrastructure to support business goals.
