Job Description – Technical Support Engineer (EV Domain)
Position Overview:- We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer (EV) to provide advanced technical assistance, dealer support, and product improvement insights. The role involves diagnosing complex technical issues, supporting dealer networks, conducting audits, and ensuring smooth product launches in the Electric Vehicle (EV) domain.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Assistance & Troubleshooting
Provide remote technical support to dealers for unresolved or complex issues.
Conduct on-site visits for advanced troubleshooting and hands-on dealer team training.
Failure Analysis & Product Improvement
Perform failure root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings.
Share insights with upstream engineering and product development teams for continuous product improvement.
Dealer Capability Enhancement
Train and mentor dealer personnel to enhance technical expertise in EV systems and diagnostics.
Conduct technical workshops and refresher training sessions.
Dealership Audit & Compliance
Perform dealership technical audits to ensure adherence to service quality standards.
Recommend corrective measures and track improvements.
New Product Launch Support
Provide technical support during new EV launches, ensuring seamless transition and dealer readiness.
Support deployment of new tools, processes, and systems related to product introduction.
Telematics & Data Analysis
Analyze telematics data to proactively diagnose issues and support predictive maintenance.
Manage and operate the telematics maintenance portal, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of cases.
Battery Diagnostics & EV Systems
Conduct battery diagnostics and health monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
Apply data-driven insights to identify trends and potential failures.
Required Skills & Competencies:- Strong expertise in Electric Vehicle systems, battery technology, and diagnostics.
Hands-on experience in telematics data analysis and use of telematics portals.
Solid knowledge of failure analysis techniques and root cause methodologies.
Ability to provide remote and on-site technical support.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong ability to train and upskill dealer teams.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
4–8 years of experience in EV technical support, diagnostics, or product service engineering.
Experience in dealer network technical support preferred.
Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and EV powertrain components is an advantage.
